New tech quests!
Seemingly out of the blue, JD has released 5 new tech quest series. The exp/gold isn't good, but it's a decent place to farm some materials and owls. Some of the bosses have double element reduce cards it seems.
There's masks, owls, 3-star attack cards, and 1-star healer cards to get. The double-element reduction cards are present as bosses, but I'm sure the drop rate is atrocious (if not zero).
A high ATK team like anna + ATK cards have done well. It's also mostly mono-elemental, so a mono-elemental team of your own may work as well. I went with the former and a decent skill leveled Erinyes can breeze through it. Double Anna isn't needed; your ally can be a healer or a damage booster.
LATEST UPDATE: All quests complete. It's an "ok" place to get materials too. I was lucky to get a holy flower from the "Dark Carnival of Pagan" quest in the fire quest series. I also picked up a holy lion in the water quest series. You can also get masks of any element in these places too (only the first quest in the series does not have masks to fight).

Tower of Black Dragon - the final frontier
No water or dark diamonds. Guess the double Anna setup will not work quite as well.
It's fairly hard since you can't use a double damage reducer as effectively. The setups are just like the other versions. Pics below are from level 3.
The twin cursed dolls at stage 5 do hit hard (about 10k each). You can see how hard the boss hits with its normal attack and the quick combo. Also note the light seal ability which can lock out key skills like my shield skill. Good thing he doesn't have soul seal, or my Erinyes may have been sealed off.
LATEST UPDATE: Top level cleared using Nature Mobel as leader and Dark Witch+++ as ally. Halving all shadow damage as well as doubling most of my HP gives enough protection vs both light and dark damage.
You can see the damage the dragon can inflict with normal and quick combo attacks, after factoring in the 50% dark damage reduction. The quick combo is somewhat dangerous if you are caught with few hearts, which is where Erinyes comes in. The dragon can also use light seal, sealing off Mobel's shield skill, so I'd be proactive with that ability more of then than not. It also greatly lengthens the fight since I went in mostly mono-elemental. With around 10 million health, it took a very long time with this team as there are no damage enhancers at all. But it is a guaranteed drop, and the boss's deadliest attack isn't too scary with Dark Witch+++.

Healing Angel Bela! That decreases your healing ability...
It was to be expected to follow the same idea of rare encounters in the limited time quests.
10878 damage (after factoring in 50% water damage reduction) with CD4. Her (unevolved) card really does have a RCR of zero too. In general, Hogle's quest is harder than Lahair IMO due to a somewhat harder lineup of enemies, and this girl can whoop your ass if you don't come prepared with a damage reducer or very high ATK skills.
Her active skill is to enhance water ATK. Not too surprising. What is surprising is that her evolved form has NEGATIVE RCR, meaning you will actually lose healing as you level her, equal to her current level minus one. So troll.

Version 4.0 soon: Ultimate Evolutions and more!
First to get the bad stuff out of the way - Sigurd's leader skill won't stack with ATK active skills. Should have seen this coming - after not allowing other +% dmg skills to stack, it was just a matter of time before seeing this oversight. She's still a VERY powerful card just for her stats alone, and her leader skill is still super effective in clearing stages in one fell swoop.
Now we're gonna have the ability to "evolve" cards to have double attributes - like fire cards having a water attribute. That is, they can do partial damage if you make chains of their secondary element. From what I heard it's 30% of a card's ATK, or 10% if secondary element is the same as the primary. Doing these ultimate evolutions can also unlock skills for the card.
The notice lists what cards you need to do some of them. JD listed ones for Cambion+, Cyclops+, and Lampades+ so far, but I highly doubt those are the only ones. For these the pattern seems to be: Holy Flower + Bolla and 3 non-winged tentacle monsters of a specific element. You can also undo this special evolution with 5 holy flowers (why you'd want to do that, I have no idea).
I'll try to post more as more ultimate evolutions are revealed.

Tower of Green Dragon: green lightning what? (UPDATED 2/23/14)
I thought yellow was the color for lightning and thunder. Whatever.
So we get our thunder ancient dragon to play with now. The stages play out just like the other elemental versions: you're stage 5 mid-boss, stage 9 mini-boss, and the boss itself at the end.
Notable stuff about the boss:
- Has high defense. Around 20k. Defensive ruin or Armor Breaker should be employed. Poison attacks are an alternate.
- Fairly high HP. Not Wales high, but not Prothero low.
- Boss hits for 16260 damage, CD2. So a double 50% lightning resist can make this a lot more reasonable to handle, adding to the fact that it's CD2.
- Skills listed at the bottom of this post
UPDATE: The boss was fixed so now it has skills :P
- Triple Attack: Self-explanatory; attack 3 times all at once for 19512 damage.
- Wrath of Vulcan: Seals fire cards for 5 turns.
Went with a defensive setup for top level. Really makes all lightning damage a joke, so it's mainly the Ifrit and Jotunn that you need to worry about. The boss has about 25k defense, and the damage you see there is a pestilence tick, so while his defense isn't crazy high, just breaking it isn't enough. Occasionally I could break it with a lucky long combo chain, but pestilence is more reliable and predictable. If you have Raphael this could go a bit smoother. Hesperides/Elf would work too if you can make good combos.

Love Angel Aruma!
There's a 10% chance for this girl to pop up in Stage 5 of Angry Heart Level III.
She hits for a little over 8000 damage every turn. Has about the same amount of health as the fire dragon she replaces. Nevertheless, I took some precautions, such as having Erinyes++ in my team, and selecting someone with a max level Ciguapa+. Just some safety measures. Having Priestess++ lead now is truly worth it to halve that damage.
Her card (and her evolved form) has no leader skill, but her active ability is the same as Loki - enhances flame attacks. I don't exactly know what that translates to in terms of damage (if it just increased damage by 50%, why not just state that).
I also noticed that Erinyes' drop rate in this quest must have been nerfed, because after 10 runs of this quest I don't have any drops of her, but have 7 Lahair.
