The Legend of King Arthur (UPDATED 6/1/14)

How else can JD celebrate the new year by releasing a new quest that has hell and super-hell difficulty?  I'm putting this here as a reference for info on the "lower" hell difficulty.  Damage listed factors in 50% reduction in dark and water damage from a spirit archer unless otherwise noted.  Boss info was given by a friend :)

Stage 1: Agloolik and Jack-In-Irons
- CD1 for both
- 1835 normal damage each
- Quick combo double normal damage
- Can seal cards (Agloolik seals lightning, Jack-In-Irons seals holy)
- About 300,200 HP each.  About 500 defense only too.

Stage 2: Hogle or Achilles:
- Hogle: CD2; Achilles: CD1
- 3462/2579 normal damage from Hogle/Achilles
- 4641 quick combo damage from Achilles
- 8640 angry wind damage from Hogle
- 720000 HP (for both maybe)

Stage 3: Lahair:
- CD2
- 9961 normal damage
- Dark Rules (turn all diamonds black)
- Angry Wind for 24900 damage!  (before any reductions thanfully)
- About 430000 HP

Stage 4: Anatole:
- CD2
- 3500 damage
- 7000 Release Energy damage
- 9798 Angry Snow damage
- 50% Heal (reborn)
- About 500000 HP

Stage 5: Dark Witch:
- CD2
- 5000 defense
- 33222 damage (holy crap!)
- Look around ability (does nothing)
- 695800 HP

Stage 6: Boss (Arthur?):
- CD1
- 7496 damage
- Hand of Doom (turns a random type of diamond to stone)
- Double attack for 10592
- Ghost Seal (disable one card for 5 turns)
- About 1.7 million HP

Strangely, it has 6 stages, making it rather unique.  I'm gonna try a Mobel/Spirit Archer setup with the usual Carl and Erinyes, and then probably Sigurd and Tainos.  (UPDATE: Failed at stage 5; my setup only gives me 29000 HP, which is not enough to survive the 33000 damage attack from the Dark Witch).

New 6/1/14 update: Tried again going with a Dark Witch+++ leader, thunder queen++ ally, erinyes, tainos, sigurd, and pastor carl team.  The first round is somewhat scary since you need to survive 5 rounds before erinyes and thunder queen skills are up.  Once they kick in, it's a lot less stressful.  After that, all the stages aren't much to worry about since all but Achilles have CD2, meaning Erinyes can make all of them have CD5 essentially.  Arthur "her"self can kill though if you get an unlucky break and she ghost seals Erinyes or Thunder Queen at the wrong time.

Pics of stage 1 and 3.  Stage 1 is stressful until the usual OP combo skills are up (medusa eyes + iron wall each on CD5 only).  Lahair is the troll enemy in a stage that has only water and dark enemies.  His angry wind will kill if you are not prepared.

Dark Witch in stage 5 "usually" just looks around, but can attack for a unruly amount of damage.  Need to keep that medusa eyes and iron wall skill chain going constantly no matter how many times she just looks around.  For the boss encounter, you can't afford to use medusa eyes any later than ASAP since she can potentially ghost seal Erinyes, completely screwing you over for 5 turns (and thunder queen's skill will eventually run out and screw you over).

With a little luck, it can be cleared with zero gem usage.  Super top level may be a different story though.

  1. The dark witch only attack once. After that, she always look around.

  2. You need a 50% reduction card on dark witch attack then after that its a free fight.

I evolved her today. She isnt that good. She turns to a dual element (Water/Dark)
    30% Hp skill

250% Dark Leader skill when evolved with a team cost of 60!!!.

Your better off using a Catherine. Very identical Max level stats w/o the dual element.

  3. The Dark Witch can attack more than once. She just chooses to look around often. But I am 100% certain she does attack more than once.

As for the Arthur, it's the only card that can give 250% to dark cards. If you pair it with another Arthur it totals to 625% dark damage, which is quite good. There are other cards that can give 250% damage to other types (notably the single diamond changers like Kelpie, Water Fairy, etc), but those are moderate cards. Valkyrie Lenneth gives 250% damage to water and gods, which is crazy.

  5. The reason I dont think she is good is because the damage she offers which is 250% isn't high enough cause it only modifies her sub element and her team cost is high. In fight were you can afford using 2 Leader/Ally Arthurs are only fights where you don't need soldier skill/% Reduction/HP increase which is very common in the new event battles. Unless she can magicaly give me 1million damage per card off of just 2 card CD's I dont think she will ever be good enough. Not unless new actives come out for dark cards or is defense of cards gets to high that only % damage actives can do damage[It has happened before] then I might use her in my main roster but for now I will stick to double anna and double Magic Knight Ayasha setups that I have. I use to Main Mono dark elements and I was amazed with the damage they could do back when Morgana was the Queen of JD and had the hardest quest along with the retarded damage lenesh and golem offered but after the nerfs it was more rewarding to run defensive set ups and win with attrition using poison cause the risk of dying was low. I also tried this and farmed all the Limited quests bot noticed that as the new quest came in like Mech beast. Soldier skill couldn't cut it anymore and having less than 30k hp with % reduction leaders were barely manageable and relied on cool downs a lot.

I tried her with 2Arthur,Archiles,DW Cathrine,Atlas,Dullahan and the damage I got from it was very sub par. Not bad not not stellar for a damage set up deck. Not to mention the total team cost of cath, archelis and arthur was 130 from only 3 cards. I couldnt use my Erasmus to replace archilies cause I couldn't fit either atlas or dulahan with the extra 10 cost for a better card. Double morganna can actualy give you more or equal damage while not being tied to dark cards if you take out the fact that she has a really good active.

http://www.gamespot.com/jewel-dragon/forums/king-arthur-new-ques-31009818/#reply I made a Wall of text post about the fight at the bottom and why she isn't that great at the top as well as her stats.

At the list level in my version all the top players which is basicly 3-7 people all use ayesha now cause she just kills everything with her active when at critical heath. Arthur/sigrud/catherine active does about 1.2m damage on a boss with 3.6m health. mean while Ayesha can do 800k-1.2m per fire card. Assuming you have 2 fire cards in your team which is garanteed since you need 2 MagicKA to do 800k per card damage that 1.6m out of one active skill.

Just to let you know how ridiculous it can get we were basically able to one shot a boss with 3million health with a full fire deck(Half damage done). He was able to do it cause he had ally in his roster which pushed his damage to 1.8-2million damage per card with his lehair doing 2.4million. Here in korea we take damage to a whole new Level. xD

  6. I heard Ayesha teams are quite ridiculous...I'm almost afraid JD will nerf her leader skill at some point. Dual Ayesha with 2500% damage from them alone is crazy, then throw in any other possible ATK buffing skills for even more absurdness. Her skill isn't even elemental or type specific either. I cleared her quest once but didn't get it to drop :\
